Special Assembly on “The Essence of Food – World Food Day”
The students of Class II A presented a delightful assembly on the theme “The Essence of Food – World Food Day” on 13th October in the school auditorium. The programme commenced with the morning prayer, followed by yoga, the thought of the day, news headlines, and a lovely poem emphasizing healthy eating habits.
Through an engaging skit and a melodious song, the young performers beautifully highlighted the importance of food, the need to avoid wastage, and the benefits of eating nutritious meals. They also reminded everyone to be grateful for every morsel and to value the hard work of our farmers.
The Vice Principal, Ma’am, appreciated the students for their confident presentation and the meaningful message they conveyed. The assembly concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.


Special Assembly on “The Power of a Smile”
Smiling is the simplest way to share positive energy — a reflection of goodwill that brightens both the giver and the receiver. Embracing this beautiful thought, the students of Grade 3-D presented a special assembly on the theme “The Power of a Smile” on October 14, 2025, in the Multi-Purpose Theatre.
The assembly was thoughtfully planned, ensuring that every student had the opportunity to showcase their talent and confidence on stage. The programme began with a warm welcome by the anchors, Adwika and Akshita, followed by the Thought of the Day shared by Lea Thokchom and the News Headlines presented by Garv Pandey. Bhavyashree and Apurva then enriched the audience with interesting science facts related to smiling, leading into a calming meditation session and a lively dance performance to the upbeat song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.
A heartfelt poem recitation by Aarush, Taksh, Ishan, and Kanwar Reyansh captivated the audience, while the Indian Dance students further enhanced the joyous atmosphere with their vibrant performances of Rabindra Nritya and Dandiya.
The assembly concluded with words of appreciation from the class teacher, Ms. Attashi Basu Dutta, and the Academic Coordinator, Ms. Nidhi Shah. Birthday celebrations and the felicitation of Inter-School Gymnastics Championship participants by Ms. Shah and Gymnastics Coach, Mr. Shubham Ruhela, added a delightful finishing touch to the event.

Inspiring Assembly on Pariksha Pe Charcha – February 24, 2025
Today, our Grade 1 and 2 teachers hosted an inspiring assembly focused on Pariksha Pe Charcha, emphasizing a stress-free approach to exams and encouraging students to express their thoughts and feelings. The assembly kicked off with a prayer, followed by a reflection on exams as a natural part of the learning journey.
Speeches in both English and Hindi uplifted the students, motivating them to stay confident and focused. A heartfelt Hindi poem beautifully conveyed the message of facing challenges with courage. Our Headmistress, Ms. Anita Pillai, delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging students to see exams as stepping stones towards their goals.
The assembly also included the much-awaited Certificate Distribution for IGKO and Sports Fitness Day, recognizing our students' exceptional achievements. The event concluded with the National Anthem, uniting everyone in a spirit of patriotism and pride.
It was a day full of inspiration, encouragement, and celebration of our students' hard work!

The program flowed beautifully, starting with the soothing Gayatri chant and prayers, followed by thought-provoking news and an insightful explanation of the Spring season.
The kids showcased their creativity with engaging lines, poems in Hindi and English, and a mesmerizing dance performance!
An educational video and interactive quiz kept the audience engaged and entertained!
Our respected HM addressed the gathering, followed by certificate distribution and a stylish ramp walk!
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, filling our hearts with pride and patriotism!

A series of skits and performances showcased the struggles and triumphs of laborers from various walks of life, including farmers, construction workers, and domestic helpers. The performances were powerful, emotive, and thought-provoking, highlighting the dignity and worth of every laborer.
The Skit emphasised an inspiring story of labourers,who have overcome incredible challenges to provide for their families.
Student Reflections:
Students from different grades shared their reflections on the dignity of labor, highlighting the importance of appreciating and respecting the hard work of laborers who contribute to our daily lives.
